Second ranked Contagem blasted bottom-ranked Brusque (0-12) in 68-41 on Friday evening. Brusque is still unable to win any game. Contagem held Brusque to an opponent 23.5 percent shooting from the field compared to 40.3 percent accuracy of the winners. Contagem forced 21 Brusque turnovers. It was a great evening for power forward Wesley Sena (210-96) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds. Point guard Eric Romualdo (185-83) helped adding 13 points and 6 assists. At the losing side forward Alan Tiago (202-91) responded with 8 points and 7 rebounds and Kaue Santos (187-96) scored 9 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Contagem. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Botafogo F.R. Brusque lost their twelfth game in a row. They still close the standings with 12 games lost. Contagem will face Santos/Macapa (#5) in the next round. Brusque will play against Blumenau and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
