Regular Season Round 6: Sydney Uni S. - Dandenong R. 71-81

Date: April 21, 2017
Not a big story in a game when one of their biggest challengers Sydney Uni S. (2-2) was defeated at home by top-ranked Rangers (2-0) 81-71 on Friday. The best player for the winners was guard Amelia Todhunter (166-88) who scored 27 points. The former international center Lauren Scherf (195-96) chipped in a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Tahlia Tupaea (174-97) who recorded 28 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and power forward Shanae Greaves (183-93) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Despite that victory Rangers went down to second position (League) due to points difference. Newly promoted Sydney Uni S. keeps the third place with two games lost. Rangers will have a break next round. Sydney Uni S. will play against Tornadoes and hope to win that game.
