No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Tenerife Naut. (17-9) beat on the road 14th ranked Rivas (6-22) 91-83 on Saturday. Tenerife Naut. made 24-of-30 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. It was a very good performance for Cuban power forward Georffri Silvestre (202-79) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 5 rebounds. Power forward Juan-Andres Garcia (199-79) contributed with 17 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Tenerife Naut. players scored in double figures. Power forward Angel Gomez (197-87) replied with 19 points and 9 rebounds and guard Miguel Zamora (189-93) added 21 points in the effort for Rivas. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tenerife Naut. maintains sixth position in Group B with 17-9 record. Newly promoted Rivas keeps the fourteenth place with 22 games lost. Tenerife Naut. will face Villarrobledo (#7) at home in the next round. Rivas will play against CB Guadalajara (#9) and hope to win that game.
