Regular Season Round 6: Woodville W. - S.Adelaide P. 71-47

Everything could happen in Flinders Park at the game between two tied teams. Both third ranked Warriors and 7th ranked Panthers had identical 1-2 record. This time Warriors used a home court advantage and rolled over the opponent from Adelaide 71-47 on Saturday night. Warriors forced 32 Panthers turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Jennifer Monroe (180, college: Anderson, SC) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds. The other American import guard Ashley Claussen (168, college: S.Oregon) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Teonna Campbell who recorded 7 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals and Haley Bunce (-91) added 14 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Panthers' coach gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Despite that victory Warriors went down to sixth position (League) due to points difference. Loser Panthers dropped to the eighth place with three games lost. Warriors will face higher ranked Flames (#3) in Marden in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Panthers will play on the road against Eagles (#5) in Goodwood and hope to win that game.
