Everything went according to plan in Gawler where fourth ranked Tigers (3-1) outleveled bottom-ranked Lions (0-4) 114-36 on Saturday. Tigers held Lions to an opponent 20.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 51.9 percent accuracy of the winners and made 22-of-29 free shots (75.9 percent) during the game. Tigers forced 33 Lions turnovers and outrebounded them 46-25 including a 34-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Tigers especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Lions' players. The best player for the winners was Demi Skinner (-97) who scored 22 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Tara Dodman chipped in 18 points and 8 rebounds. Five Tigers players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Danielle Greaves (-93) who recorded 9 points and Rhianna Stringer added 7 points respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Tigers moved-up to second place in League. Loser Lions still closes the standings with four games lost. Tigers will face Bearcats (#9) in Woodville in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Lions will play at home against the league's leader Rockets and hope to get finally their first victory.
