Regular Season Round 30: Montegrano - Matera 85-83

Sixth-ranked Matera (17-13) gave a tough game to first ranked Montegrano (26-4) in Montenegrano on Saturday. Montegrano managed to secure only two-point victory 85-83. However their fans expected much easier game. The best player for the winners was swingman Nelson Rizzitiello (198-84) who scored 24 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Giorgio Broglia (198-86, agency: Interperformances) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Gionata Zampolli (189-85) who recorded 27 points and center Nicolo Ravazzani (200-85) added 11 points and 17 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Despite that victory Montegrano went down to second position (B) due to points difference. Loser Matera dropped to the seventh place with 13 games lost.
