Regular Season Round 28: Castelldefels - Igualada 70-75

There was no surprise when 9th ranked Castelldefels (10-16) lost at home to seventh ranked Igualada (13-12) 75-70 on Saturday. It was a very good performance for center Eduard Tejero (195-92) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 6 rebounds. Jordi Torres (188-83) contributed with 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Igualada's coach Jordi Marti used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Forward Albert Olmedo (198-92) replied with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and forward Jordi Boronat (-85) added 17 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Castelldefels. Four Castelldefels players scored in double figures. Igualada moved-up to fifth place in Group C-B, which they share with Palma II and Sant Adria. Loser Castelldefels keeps the ninth position with 16 games lost. Igualada will face league's leader Mollet at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Castelldefels will play against the league's second-placed Pardinyes-L. (#2) in Lleida and hope to win that game.
