Regular Season Round 57: Toyotsu FE - Tokyo Excel. 67-76

Very important is a home loss of second ranked Toyotsu FE (38-17) against fourth ranked Tokyo Excel. (21-33) on Saturday night. Host Toyotsu FE was defeated by Tokyo Excel. in a tough game in Nagoya 67-76. American center Ryan Stephan (208-94, college: Colorado Mesa) stepped up and scored 33 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds for the winners and his fellow American import Justin Herold (203-91, college: Sonoma St.) chipped in 12 points and 12 rebounds. The best for the losing side was Nigerian center Solomon Alabi (216-88, college: Florida St.) with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 22 rebounds and point guard Kohei Fukuzawa (177-93) scored 16 points and 5 assists. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Tokyo Excel. maintains fourth place with 21-33 record. Toyotsu FE at the other side keeps the second position with 17 games lost. Tokyo Excel. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Toyotsu FE will play again at home against Tokyo Excel. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
