Rather predictable result when tenth ranked Ortona (13-17) defeated at home 13th ranked Valdiceppo (9-21) 80-64 on Saturday. They outrebounded Valdiceppo 49-23 including a 35-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Ortona looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Valdiceppo's players. Naturalized Argentinian point guard Victorio-Gustavo Musso (185-84) had a double-double by scoring 12 points, 5 rebounds and 12 assists to lead the charge for the winners and power forward Gianluca Di-Carmine (200-86) chipped in 8 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was Polish swingman Robert Banach (197-97) with 15 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and center Alessandro Panzieri (201-95, college: High School) scored 10 points and 8 rebounds. Four Valdiceppo players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Ortona maintains tenth position in B with 13-17 record.
