Regular Season Round 28: Myrtia - Valencia II 88-74

The game between closely ranked teams ended with first ranked Myrtia's (13-2) home victory over their biggest opponent Valencia-2 (7-8) in Murcia 88-74 on Saturday. Myrtia forced 20 Valencia-2 turnovers and outrebounded them 47-29 including 17 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a very good performance for forward Jorge Lledo (203-80) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 8 rebounds. Center Marcos Molina (202-90) contributed with 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Myrtia's coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Carlos Cerdan (190-97) replied with 14 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals and Jon Galarza (193-97) added 12 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Valencia-2. Four Myrtia and five Valencia-2 players scored in double figures. Myrtia have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Group E Clasif with 13-2 record. Valencia-2 lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the third place with eight games lost. Myrtia's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Murcia to the arena UCAM Murcia II.
