Very expected game when 8th ranked Central District Lions (1-3) were smashed by third ranked Noarlunga City Southern Tigers (3-1) in Gawler 114-87 on Saturday. Noarlunga City Southern Tigers made 22-of-29 free shots (75.9 percent) during the game. Noarlunga City Southern Tigers outrebounded Central District Lions 58-29 including a 41-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Noarlunga City Southern Tigers looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Central District Lions were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The former international swingman Anthony Drmic (198-92, college: Boise St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 30 points and 9 rebounds. American forward Mike Nwelue (196, college: Drury) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 17 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Noarlunga City Southern Tigers maintains third position in League with 3-1 record having 3 victories less than leader Geraldton B.
