No shocking result in a game when top-ranked Forestville Eagles (4-0) crushed bottom-ranked Eastern Mavericks (0-4) in Mt. Barker 114-70 on Saturday. Forestville Eagles dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Eastern Mavericks' 30 and made 27-of-32 free shots (84.4 percent) during the game. Forestville Eagles forced 24 Eastern Mavericks turnovers and outrebounded them 49-26 including a 17-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Eastern Mavericks were plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. American forward Antonio Garrett (198, college: Idaho Coll.) orchestrated the victory with a triple-double by scoring 27 points and 11 rebounds. Sudanese forward Majok Deng (208-93, college: La-Monroe) contributed with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four Forestville Eagles players scored in double figures. Guard Lachlan Barker (179-96) replied with 20 points and 6 rebounds and Rigby Aktanarowicz added 10 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Eastern Mavericks.
