There was a small surprise when tenth ranked Crusaders (2-4) won against on the road 10th ranked Hawks (2-4) 78-66 on Saturday. Crusaders forced 19 Hawks turnovers. Forward James Trustum (192) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points and 5 rebounds. Naturalized Saudi Arabian guard Noman Shoaib (188) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Keelan Ward replied with 11 points and 4 steals and guard Alexander Beagley added 10 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Hawks. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Hawks' coach tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Crusaders moved-up to seventh place in League. Crusaders will face higher ranked Sydney City Comets (#3) in Alexandria in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Hawks will play at home against the league's leader Spiders (#1) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
