Very expected game in Prizren where 6th ranked Rahoveci (9-16) was crushed by second ranked Bashkimi (21-4) 96-73 on Saturday. The game without a history. Bashkimi led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Rahoveci's 32. They outrebounded Rahoveci 45-34 including 33 on the defensive glass. Bashkimi looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Kayel Locke (196-94, college: NC-Greensboro) who scored 20 points. Montenegrin Marko Popovic (200-85) chipped in 19 points and 5 rebounds. Coach Dragan Radovic's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play all 12 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Altin Morina (194-94) who recorded 19 points and 7 assists and guard Valon Bunjaku (191-98) added 9 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Bashkimi. They maintain second place with 21-4 record behind leader Sigal Prishtina. Rahoveci lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the sixth position with 16 games lost. Bashkimi will meet Peja (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Rahoveci will play against the league's leader Sigal Prishtina and hope to secure a win.
