Regular Season Round 27: Vellaznimi - Peja 84-104

The game in Gjakove supposed to be also quite interesting. Third ranked Peja (19-5) played at the court of 8th ranked Vellaznimi (2-25). Peja did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 104-84 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Peja. Vellaznimi managed to win third quarter 21-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Peja shot 60.6 percent from the field. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists. The best player for the winners was guard Arian Qallaku (195-92) who had a double-double by scoring 26 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals. Slovenian point guard Robert Abramovic (185-88, agency: PEPI SPORT) chipped in 27 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Beqe Kovaqi (196-94) who recorded a double-double by scoring 21 points, 16 rebounds and 9 assists and guard Atik Koshi (189-99) added 17 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists respectively. Five Peja and four Vellaznimi players scored in double figures. Peja maintains third place with 19-5 record having four points less than leader Sigal Prishtina. Vellaznimi lost their fifteenth game in a row. They stay dead last with 25 lost games. They share the position with Kerasan. Peja will meet at home league's second-placed Bashkimi in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Vellaznimi will play against Xhebrailat (#5) in Therande and hope to secure a win.
