There was no surprise when 11th ranked Giulianova (11-19) was defeated at home by ninth ranked Rimini (14-16) 78-70 on Saturday. Rimini dominated down low during the game scoring 40 of its points in the paint compared to Giulianova's 20. Point guard Luca Pesaresi (180-89) scored 15 points and 8 assists to lead the charge for the winners and guard Paolo Busetto (195-96) chipped in 13 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. Four Rimini players scored in double figures. Rimini's coach Andrea Maghelli allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was swingman Simone De-Angelis (201-86) with 21 points and point guard Danilo Gallerini (185-80, agency: Players Group) scored 18 points and 6 rebounds. Rimini maintains ninth position in B with 14-16 record, which they share with Desio and Padova. Loser Giulianova dropped to the twelfth place with 19 games lost.
