No shocking result in a game when third ranked Chiba Jets (38-16) smashed at home 6th ranked Sendai 89ers (13-41) 96-53 on Saturday. They outrebounded Sendai 89ers 47-32 including a 34-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Chiba Jets looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by Sendai 89ers' players. The best player for the winners was American Tyler Stone (203-91, college: SE Missouri St., agency: Diamond Sports) who had a double-double by scoring 12 points, 14 rebounds and 8 assists. The other American import forward Michael Parker (202-81, college: Evergreen St.) chipped in 16 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Chiba Jets players scored in double figures. South African center Tshilidzi Nephawe (208-89, college: N.Mexico St.) produced 9 points and 11 rebounds and American Greg Mangano (208-89, college: Yale) added 10 points and 11 rebounds respectively for the guests.
