LEB Silver top team - Sammic ISB (23-7) added another victory to their record. This time they beat tenth ranked Alcazar (14-16) in Azpeitia 72-67. New Zealand center Mike Karena (208-93, college: Wright St.) scored 20 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Gaizka Maiza (191-96) chipped in 14 points and 4 assists during the contest. Sammic ISB's coach Iker Bueno allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The best for the losing side was American guard Lamonte Thomas (187-90, college: J.and Wales, RI) with 23 points and 6 assists and Croatian guard Marko Proleta (195-94) scored 11 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Alcazar players scored in double figures. Sammic ISB maintains first position with 23-7 record. Alcazar lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the tenth place with 16 games lost.
