Regular Season Round 28: Olivar - Salt 74-64

There was a surprise result when ninth ranked Olivar (12-13) won against higher ranked Salt (13-11) in Zaragoza 74-64 on Saturday. They outrebounded Salt 46-21 including a 32-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a very good performance for Cesar Hidalgo (188-80) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds. Czech swingman Simon Pursl (203-97) contributed with 17 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Olivar's coach Carlos Iglesias used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Point guard Xavier Torrent (176-90) replied with 24 points (made all of his eight free throws) and guard Carles Nadal (190-89) added 17 points in the effort for Salt. Olivar moved-up to eighth place in Group C-A, which they share with Cornella. Salt lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with 11 games lost. Olivar will face league's leader Martorell on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Salt will play against Cornella and hope to win that game.
