There was no surprise when 15th ranked Vitre (13-21) was crushed on the road by tenth ranked UB Chartres (17-17) 101-71 on Sunday. UB Chartres dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Vitre's 30 and made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Vitre 45-22 including a 16-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. UB Chartres looked well-organized offensively handing out 35 assists comparing to just 20 passes made by Vitre's players. American forward Jonathan Mitchell (201-87, college: Rutgers, agency: Inception Sports) fired 20 points for the winners. Swingman Kevin Bichard (195-86) chipped in 13 points and 5 assists. UB Chartres' coach Sebastien Lambert felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Forward Guillaume Merie (198-83) produced 11 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals and guard Simon Cretaux (190-89) added 16 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. UB Chartres moved-up to ninth place, which they share with ALS Basket. Vitre lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth position with 21 games lost.
