Regular Season Round 57: Hokkaido L. - Toyota Alvark 61-83

An interesting game for Toyota Alvark (40-15) which played road game in Saporro against 4th placed Hokkaido L. (21-34). Second ranked Toyota Alvark had an easy win 83-61. Toyota Alvark forced 19 Hokkaido L. turnovers. The best player for the winners was American point guard Diante Garrett (196-88, college: Iowa St.) who scored 19 points. His fellow American import forward Jeff Ayres (206-87, college: Arizona St.) chipped in 13 points. Four Toyota Alvark players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American center Daniel Miller (211-91, college: Georgia Tech) who recorded 17 points and 5 rebounds and Canadian center Jordan Bachynski (218-89, college: Arizona St.) added 10 points and 9 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Toyota Alvark maintains second place with 40-15 record having five points less than leader Tochigi Brex. Hokkaido L. at the other side keeps the fourth position with 34 games lost. Toyota Alvark's next round opponent will be Sendai 89ers (#6) on the road. Hokkaido L. will play against Akita Happinets and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
