An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Torun. First ranked Anwil faced 4th placed Twarde Pierniki. Guests from Wloclawek (24-7) defeated host Twarde Pierniki (20-11) 73-69. The best player for the winners was Serbian guard Nemanja Jaramaz (200-91, agency: BeoBasket) who scored 23 points and 6 rebounds. American point guard James Washington (182-87, college: Middle Tenn.St.) chipped in 17 points. Anwil's coach Igor Milicic used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. American-Hungarian point guard Obadiah Trotter (188-84, college: Alabama A&M) produced 16 points and 7 assists and Croatian forward Jure Skific (202-88, agency: 011 Sports) added 7 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Anwil have an impressive series of fourteen victories in a row. They maintain first place with 24-7 record. Twarde Pierniki at the other side keeps the fourth position with 11 games lost. Anwil are looking forward to face Trefl (#9) in Sopot in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Twarde Pierniki will play on the road against PGE Turow (#10) in Zgorzelec and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
