Everything went according to plan when eighth ranked Andorra (15-13) beat at home 12th ranked Baloncesto Fuenlabrada (11-17) 96-78 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Andorra. Baloncesto Fuenlabrada managed to win fourth quarter 21-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Andorra looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Serbian power forward Oliver Stevic (204-84, agency: BeoBasket) scored 15 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and American guard David Walker (197-93, college: Northeastern) chipped in 20 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was Croatian point guard Marko Popovic (185-82, college: S.Idaho JC, agency: Alti Sport) with 21 points and 4 assists and naturalized Brazilian center Rafael Hettsheimer (206-86) scored 17 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Andorra maintains eighth position with 15-13 record. Baloncesto Fuenlabrada lost third consecutive game. They keep the twelfth place with 17 games lost. Andorra are looking forward to face RETAbet BB (#9) in Bilbao in the next round. Baloncesto Fuenlabrada will play at home against Gran Canaria and is hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
