Very important is a road loss of third ranked Tokyo Z (26-31) against fifth ranked Bambitious Nara (21-35) on Sunday night. Visiting Tokyo Z was crushed by Bambitious Nara in Nara 85-62. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Tokyo Z. Bambitious Nara dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Tokyo Z's 22. American guard Terrance Woodbury (201-87, college: Georgia) fired 20 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Forward Daiki Terashita (190-80) chipped in 16 points. Woodbury is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Bambitious Nara players scored in double figures. American center Will Creekmore (205-89, college: Missouri St.) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds and point guard Kazuyuki Nakagawa (180-82) added 12 points respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Bambitious Nara maintains fifth position with 21-35 record. Loser Tokyo Z keeps the third place with 31 games lost. Bambitious Nara will meet higher ranked Tokyo Excel. (#4) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Tokyo Z will play against Shinshu BW in Nagano and hope to secure a win.
