Regular Season Round 27: Kerasan - Ylli 80-88

Date: April 23, 2017
The game in Prishtina was also worth to mention about. Fifth ranked Xhebrailat (11-15) played at the court of 7th ranked Kerasan (2-25). Xhebrailat managed to secure a 8-point victory 88-80. It looked good early as Kerasan took a 2-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Xhebrailat had a 21-12 second period charge getting the lead and Kerasan was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 80-88. They outrebounded Kerasan 46-25 including a 30-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for American Trae Anderson (196, college: E.Illinois) who led the winners and scored 23 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Ujkan Karanezi (200-95) accounted for 17 points and 15 rebounds for the winning side. Four Xhebrailat players scored in double figures. Point guard Alban Latifaj (185-91) came up with 23 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and Rinor Ahmeti (188-96) added 20 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Kerasan in the defeat. Kerasan's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Xhebrailat maintains fifth place with 11-15 record. Kerasan at the other side keeps the seventh position with 25 games lost. They share it with Vellaznimi. Xhebrailat will play against bottom-ranked Vellaznimi (#8) in Gjakove in the next round. Kerasan will play on the road against Trepca in Mitrovice and hopes to get back on the winning track.
