There was a surprise result when eleventh ranked Sharks (1-4) defeated at home higher ranked Wildcats (3-3) 60-54 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was American point guard Brittany Carter (183-93, college: Illinois) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points, 11 rebounds, 7 assists and 6 steals. Grace McRae chipped in 14 points and 9 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Rebecca Cole (178-92) who recorded 18 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Ashleigh McBean (190, college: Murray St.) added 12 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Sharks left bottom position moving up to ninth place in League. Loser Wildcats dropped to the sixth position with three games lost. Sharks will face higher ranked Hawks (#3) in Heathmont in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
