Everything went according to plan when third ranked Buccaneers (6-1) defeated 12th ranked Flames (2-5) in Rockingham 85-79 on Sunday. Guard Jackson Hussey (190-92, college: Pikeville) orchestrated the victory by scoring 15 points, 9 assists and 6 steals. American forward Maurice Barrow (196-92, college: Fairfield) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Jarryd Griffin (186-87) replied with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and guard Ryan Godfrey (187-90, college: W.Georgia) added 12 points and 7 assists in the effort for Flames. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Buccaneers keep a position of League leader. Loser Flames keep the twelfth place with five games lost. Buccaneers will face Suns (#10) in Kalamunda in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Flames will play at home against Tigers and hope to win that game.
