Second Stage Round 10: Chemidor - Kashan 77-72

The game between Top Four teams took place in Tehran. Third ranked host Chemidor (4-4) defeated one of their biggest challengers Kashan (3-5) 77-72. The hosts were already 15 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 21-11 Kashan's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 77-72 at the end of the game. Chemidor brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Amirhossein Azari (192-98) notched 22 points (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and Payam Kiani supported him with 4 points and 11 rebounds. Chemidor's coach Javad Rahmatipour allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even 17 points and 9 rebounds by the former international power forward Hossein Rahmati (203-93) did not help to save the game for Kashan. The former international center Masoud Soleimani (207) added 13 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Chemidor maintains third position with 4-4 record having just three points less than leader Naft Abadan. Newly promoted Kashan dropped to the fourth place with five games lost.
