No shocking result in a game when first ranked Knox Raiders (6-1) crushed 5th ranked Devils (4-2) in Werribee 98-72 on Sunday. Naturalized British guard Adam Thoseby (196-91, college: Georgia SW, agency: Three Eye Sports) orchestrated the victory by scoring 30 points. Forward Dylan Hare (193-93) contributed with 15 points and 4 assists for the winners. Five Knox Raiders players scored in double figures. Knox Raiders' coach felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. American guard Jeremy Smith (190, college: Nicholls St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 15 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Fred Hunter (196-89, college: Nicholls St.) added 22 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Devils. Knox Raiders maintains first position in League with 6-1 record. Loser Devils dropped to the sixth place with two games lost. Knox Raiders will face Waverley Falcons (#4) in Mount Waverley in the next round. Devils will play at home against the league's second-placed Eltham Wildcats and hope to win that game.
