Regular Season Round 57: Hitachi SR - Toshiba BT 84-71

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Toshiba Thunders (45-10) in Tokyo on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by third ranked Hitachi Sunrockers (29-26) 84-71. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Toshiba Thunders. It was a good game for Canadian center Robert Sacre (213-89, college: Gonzaga) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds. International forward Ira Brown (193-82, college: Gonzaga) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four Hitachi Sunrockers players scored in double figures. American forward Nick Fazekas (211-85, college: Nevada) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds and the other American import forward Ryan Spangler (203-91, college: Oklahoma) added 14 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Toshiba Thunders. Toshiba Thunders' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Hitachi Sunrockers maintains third place with 29-26 record having sixteen points less than leader Tochigi Brex. Toshiba Thunders at the other side still keep top position with ten games lost. Hitachi Sunrockers are looking forward to face Toyama Grouses (#5) at home in the next round. Toshiba Thunders will play against Yokohama BC (#6) and are hoping to win this game.
