Regular Season Round 28: Vanoli CR - MIA-RO Cantu 93-82

Bottom-ranked Vanoli Cremona managed to get a eighth victory, breaking the two-game losing streak on Sunday night. This time they won against thirteenth-ranked AV Cantu 93-82. The game was mostly controlled by Vanoli Cremona. AV Cantu managed to win third quarter 27-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Vanoli Cremona shot 64.8 percent from the field. They also forced 20 AV Cantu turnovers. It was a great shooting night for Vanoli Cremona especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. Naturalized Polish power forward Jakub Wojciechowski (210-90) fired 18 points (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) for the winners. American point guard Darius Johnson-Odom (187-89, college: Marquette, agency: BeoBasket) chipped in 16 points. American power forward JaJuan Johnson (208-89, college: Purdue) produced 24 points and 7 rebounds and his fellow American import point guard Zabian Dowdell (191-84, college: Virginia Tech, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) added 11 points and 6 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. AV Cantu's coach Carlo Recalcati rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Vanoli Cremona maintains sixteenth position with 8-20 record. AV Cantu at the other side keeps the thirteenth place with 17 games lost. They share the position with JuveCaserta. Vanoli Cremona are looking forward to face higher ranked Openjobmetis VA (#12) in Varese in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. AV Cantu will play at home against Dolomiti En. TR and is hoping to win this game.
