There was an upset when higher ranked Quintanar (12-15) lost at home to sixteenth ranked Viten Fuen. (3-24) 80-71 on Tuesday. They outrebounded Quintanar 34-11 including a 24-10 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a very good performance for Victor Moreno (195-98) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 6 rebounds. David Cuellar (192-97) contributed with 16 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Cuban point guard Taylor Garcia (182-87) replied with 19 points and 4 steals and American forward Martin Smith (196, college: Lipscomb) added 16 points and 5 steals in the effort for Quintanar. Viten Fuen. maintains sixteenth position in Group B with 3-24 record. Loser Quintanar keeps the tenth place with 15 games lost.
