Regular Season Round 6: Kalamunda E.S. - Willetton T. 66-71

Rather predictable result in Kalamunda where eighth ranked Tigers (3-3) beat 12th ranked Suns (1-7) 71-66 on Tuesday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 25-18. But Suns won second period 18-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Suns were plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was Desiree Kelley who had a double-double by scoring 14 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Stacey Barr (173-92, college: Idaho) chipped in 17 points. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Jennie Rintala (-90) who recorded a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and Tahlia Fejo added 16 points and 4 steals respectively. Suns' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Tigers maintains eighth position in League with 3-3 record. Loser Suns keep the twelfth place with seven games lost. Tigers will face Slammers (#9) in Bunbury in the next round.
