Regular Season Round 6: Norwood F. - S.Adelaide P. 71-31
Date: April 25, 2017
Not a big story in a game in Marden where 7th ranked Panthers (1-3) were outplayed by fifth ranked Flames (3-1) 71-31 on Tuesday. Flames held Panthers to an opponent 20.6 percent shooting from the field compared to 36.5 percent accuracy of the winners. Flames forced 25 Panthers turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 4 passes made by Panthers' players. The best player for the winners was forward Jessica Good (186-94) who had a double-double by scoring 10 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 blocks. American forward Marisa Stabile (182-92, college: Massachusetts) chipped in 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Flames players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Teonna Campbell who recorded 10 points and 8 rebounds and Danita Goodwin added 4 points and 12 rebounds respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Flames moved-up to third place in League. Loser Panthers dropped to the eighth position with three games lost. Flames will face Warriors (#6) in Flinders Park in the next round. Panthers will play on the road against Eagles in Goodwood and hope to win that game.
