Not a big story in a game when 12th ranked Flames (2-5) lost to sixth ranked Cougars (5-3) in Hamilton Hill 78-85 on Tuesday. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 85-78. American forward Jalen Billups (198-92, college: N.Kentucky, agency: Haylett Sports) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 12 rebounds. Swingman Gavin Field (202-89, college: W.Georgia) contributed with 11 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Five Cougars players scored in double figures. Cougars' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Guard Ryan Godfrey (187-90, college: W.Georgia) replied with 33 points (!!!) and 6 assists and American forward Donovon Jack (206-93, college: Penn St.) added 17 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Flames. Cougars moved-up to fifth place in League. Loser Flames keep the twelfth position with five games lost. Cougars will face league's second-placed Redbacks in Northbridge in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Flames will play at home against Tigers (#4) and hope to win that game.
