Very important is a road loss of third ranked Joinville (7-6) against sixth ranked Brusque (1-13) on Wednesday night. Visiting Joinville was defeated by Brusque in a tough game on the road 58-64. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Joinville. Willian da-Silva (200-81) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points and 6 rebounds. Swingman Durval Prado (200-92) contributed with 6 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Point guard Jeferson Froehlich (193-91) replied with 7 points, 16 rebounds and 7 assists and naturalized Spanish center Jose-Victor Jeronimo (208-91) added 13 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Joinville. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Brusque maintains sixth position with 1-13 record. Joinville at the other side keeps the third place with six games lost. Brusque will again play against higher ranked Joinville (#3) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Joinville will play against Blumenau and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
