Regular Season Round 28: Ylli - Vellaznimi 84-74

Date: April 27, 2017
No shocking result in a game in Therande where fifth ranked Xhebrailat (12-15) defeated bottom-ranked Vellaznimi (2-26) 84-74. It looked good early as Vellaznimi took a 3-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Xhebrailat had a 21-11 second period charge getting the lead and Vellaznimi was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 74-84. They outrebounded Vellaznimi 47-32 including a 38-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American Trae Anderson (196, college: E.Illinois) who helped to win the game recording a triple-double by scoring 19 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists. The other American import guard Kevin Brown (190-92, college: New Orleans) contributed with 27 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Beqe Kovaqi (196-94) replied with 29 points and 5 rebounds and guard Driton Rraci (194-84) added 14 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Vellaznimi. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Xhebrailat maintains fifth position with 12-15 record. Vellaznimi lost sixteenth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 26 lost games. They share the position with Kerasan.
