Quarter-Finals Round 1: Beroe - Spartak Pleven 81-69

Beroe held off Spartak Pleven in the opener. The game was mostly controlled by Beroe. Spartak Pleven was better in second period 20-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Shane Gibson (188-90, college: Sacred Heart) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 8 rebounds. DR Congolese forward Omari Gudul (206-94, college: Angelo St., agency: Two Points) contributed with 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Beroe players scored in double figures. Beroe's coach Ljubomir Minchev allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Power forward Dimitar Marincheshki (200-90) answered with 19 points and 8 rebounds and Montenegrin-Serbian center Milovan Savic (205-87) added 15 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Spartak Pleven.
