Regular Season Round 34: Burgos - Palencia 97-71

Not a big story in a game when 5th ranked Palencia Baloncesto (22-12) was outscored on the road by third ranked Burgos (24-10) 97-71 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Burgos. Palencia Baloncesto was better in third quarter 20-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a very good performance for Serbian center Goran Huskic (210-92, college: Howard Col., TX) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 9 rebounds. Center Javier Vega (205-88) contributed with 19 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Burgos players scored in double figures. Naturalized Senegalese power forward Mamadou Samb (210-89) replied with 15 points and 6 rebounds and Venezuelan guard Jhornan Zamora (196-89) added 12 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Palencia Baloncesto. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Burgos have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Breogan. Loser Palencia Baloncesto dropped to the fourth position with 12 games lost.
