There was a small surprise when fourteenth ranked CB Prat (13-21) beat 12th ranked Araberri (14-20) in Vitoria-Gasteiz 82-74 on Friday. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 26-17. But Araberri won second period 23-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when CB Prat won last quarter 24-17. It was a very good performance for Serbian forward Milan Nikolic (201-92) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 8 rebounds (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field). Xabier Lopez (198-97) contributed with 19 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. CB Prat's coach Roberto Sanchez used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Serbian Nikola Cvetinovic (203-88, college: Akron) replied with 19 points and 6 rebounds and American-Nigerian guard Zaid Hearst (193, college: Quinnipiac) added 13 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Araberri. Four Araberri players scored in double figures. CB Prat moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with FC Barcelona II. Newly promoted Araberri dropped to the eleventh position with 20 games lost.
