Very important is a home loss of second ranked Halcones de Ciudad Obregon (13-6) against sixth ranked Lobos UAD Mazatlan (9-10) on Friday night. Host Halcones de Ciudad Obregon was defeated by Lobos UAD Mazatlan in a tough game in Ciudad Obregon 101-105. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Halcones de Ciudad Obregon. American players dominated the game. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Cliff Tucker (198-89, college: Maryland) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 6 rebounds and forward Omar Thomas (196-82, college: UTEP) who added 20 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Swingman Glen Rice-Jr (198-91, college: Georgia Tech) responded with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and forward Michael Glover (203-87, college: Iona) produced a double-double by scoring 31 points and 10 rebounds. Five Lobos UAD Mazatlan and four Halcones de Ciudad Obregon players scored in double figures. Defending champion moved-up to fifth place. Halcones de Ciudad Obregon at the other side keeps the second position with six games lost. Lobos UAD Mazatlan will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Halcones de Ciudad Obregon will play again at home against Lobos UAD Mazatlan and hopes to get back on the winning track.
