Regular Season Round 58: Ryukyu GK - Kyoto Hannar. 69-80

Very important is a home loss of third ranked Ryukyu GK (26-30) against fourth ranked Kyoto Hannar. (25-31) on Saturday night. Host Ryukyu GK was defeated by Kyoto Hannar. in Okinawa 80-69. Worth to mention a great performance of American Marcus Dove (206-85, college: Oklahoma St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds. The other American import forward Kevin Kotzur (203-89, college: St.Mary's, TX) contributed with 20 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. International guard Ryuichi Kishimoto (176-90) replied with 22 points (made all of his ten free throws !!!) and American power forward Lamont Hamilton (208-84, college: St.John's) added 7 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Ryukyu GK. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Kyoto Hannar. maintains fourth position with 25-31 record, which they share with Niigata Albirex. Ryukyu GK at the other side keeps the third place with 30 games lost. Kyoto Hannar. will have a break next round. Ryukyu GK will play again at home against Kyoto Hannar. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
