The game between third ranked CB Canarias (19-9) and seventh ranked Unicaja Malaga (19-10) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. CB Canarias was crushed by Unicaja Malaga in Malaga 88-67. Unicaja Malaga shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Serbian point guard Nemanja Nedovic (191-91, agency: BeoBasket) fired 13 points and 5 assists for the winners. Serbian power forward Dejan Musli (213-91, agency: BeoBasket) chipped in 15 points. Point guard Ferran Bassas (183-92) produced 12 points and Argentinian-Italian point guard Nicolas Richotti (183-86) added 10 points respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Unicaja Malaga moved-up to sixth place. CB Canarias at the other side dropped to the fifth position with nine games lost. Unicaja Malaga are looking forward to face higher ranked Baskonia (#3) in Vitoria in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. CB Canarias will play at home against Baskonia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
