The game in Saitama was also quite interesting. Third ranked Tokyo HT (34-16) played at the court of 6th ranked Saitama Broncos (14-36). Tokyo HT did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 88-71 on Saturday. American power forward Edward Morris (204-84, college: Pittsburg St.) scored 20 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import forward Brian Harper (208-85, college: Paine) chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American guard Brent Jennings (193-88, college: So.Poly State) responded with 26 points and point guard Masaya Ueda (177-93) scored 18 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Tokyo HT maintains third position with 34-16 record having ten points less than leader Fukuoka Rizing. Loser Saitama Broncos keep the sixth place with 36 games lost. Tokyo HT will face league's leader Fukuoka Rizing at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Saitama Broncos will play against Otsuka A. (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
