Regular Season Round 9: Hume City - Casey C. 109-93

There was a small surprise in Tullamarine where seventh ranked Hume City Broncos (3-4) defeated 7th ranked Casey C. (3-3) 109-93 on Saturday. Hume City Broncos looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American guard Mike Rose (193-87, college: E.Kentucky) stepped up and scored 30 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners and his fellow American import forward Trevon Clayton (198, college: Fresno Pacific) chipped in 21 points and 17 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). The best for the losing side was American power forward Charles Polk (200-84, college: Butler) with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 14 rebounds and guard Benjamin Louis (192-88, college: JMU) scored 18 points, 5 assists and 4 steals (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). Four Hume City Broncos and five Casey C. players scored in double figures. Despite that victory Hume City Broncos went down to eighth position (League) due to points difference. Newly promoted Casey C. keeps the seventh place with three games lost. Hume City Broncos will face higher ranked Waverley Falcons (#5) in Mount Waverley in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
