Host team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. Bandits made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Bandits outrebounded Chargers 44-25 including a 28-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. American forward T.J. Robinson (203-89, college: Long Beach St.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds for the winners and point guard Deba George (183-85) chipped in 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was American swingman Robert Heyer (190, college: Boise St.) with 27 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and point guard Tiri Masunda (185-89) scored 18 points. Five Bandits and four Chargers players scored in double figures. Bandits maintains second place in League with 3-2 record having seven points less than leader Sydney Comets.
