Regular Season Round 59: Tokyo Excel. - Bambitious Nara 77-85

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 4th placed Tokyo Excel. (21-35) was defeated at home by fifth ranked Bambitious Nara (22-35) 85-77 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was American guard Terrance Woodbury (201-87, college: Georgia) who scored 26 points. Nigerian forward Andy Ogide (204-87, college: Colorado St., agency: HMS) chipped in 23 points and 8 rebounds. Woodbury is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American Justin Herold (203-91, college: Sonoma St.) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import center Ryan Stephan (208-94, college: Colorado Mesa) added 14 points respectively for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Bambitious Nara moved-up to fourth place. Loser Tokyo Excel. dropped to the fifth position with 35 games lost. Bambitious Nara will have a break next round. Tokyo Excel. will play again at home against Bambitious Nara (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
