There was a minor upset in Morley where 6th ranked Eagles (5-4) were defeated by ninth ranked Lightning (4-5) 92-78 on Saturday. Lightning made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. American guard Devon Atkinson (185, college: Morehead St.) stepped up and scored 31 points and 4 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) for the winners and swingman Corey Shervill (197) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds. Four Lightning players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American center Kevin Davis (206-91, college: Cent.Washington) with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and swingman Drew Williamson (196-83, college: Metro St.) scored 19 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Lightning maintains ninth place in League with 4-5 record. Loser Eagles keep the sixth position with four games lost. Lightning will face league's leader Buccaneers in Wonthella in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
