Not a big story in a game in Wonthella where 10th ranked Suns (3-9) were defeated by first ranked Buccaneers (8-1) 91-81 on Saturday. Buccaneers outrebounded Suns 47-31 including 16 on the offensive glass. Suns were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. American forward Maurice Barrow (196-92, college: Fairfield) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds for the winners and guard Jackson Hussey (190-92, college: Pikeville) chipped in 21 points and 6 rebounds. Five Buccaneers players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard Courtney Belger (187-89, college: Quincy) with 25 points (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) and swingman Kerrod Horn (186-93) scored 13 points. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Buccaneers maintains first place in League with 8-1 record. Loser Suns keep the tenth position with nine games lost. Buccaneers will face Lightning (#9) in North Lake in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Suns will play at home against Slammers and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
