Regular Season Round 9: Forestville E. - S.Adelaide P. 100-80

Not a big story in a game in Goodwood where 7th ranked South Adelaide Panthers (2-3) were rolled over by leader Forestville Eagles (5-0) 100-80 on Saturday. Forestville Eagles made 25-of-30 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. Forestville Eagles outrebounded South Adelaide Panthers 49-34 including 19 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. South Adelaide Panthers were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Sudanese forward Majok Deng (208-93, college: La-Monroe) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 47 points (!!!) and 15 rebounds for the winners and American forward Antonio Garrett (198, college: Idaho Coll.) chipped in 25 points, 13 rebounds and 8 assists. The best for the losing side was American guard Eian Davis (185-90, college: Albertus Magnus) with 35 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds and J Hoppo scored 9 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forestville Eagles maintains first place in League with 5-0 record. Loser South Adelaide Panthers dropped to the sixth position with three games lost. Forestville Eagles will face league's second-placed North Adelaide Rockets in Greenacres in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. South Adelaide Panthers will play at home against West Adelaide Bearcats (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
